What can I do to alleviate my toothache until I see the dentist?
Whenever you experience a toothache, it is important to see your dentist as soon as possible to address the root of the problem.
However, if you are unable to get an appointment, there are a number of at-home remedies that you can do to alleviate the toothache until you can be seen by your dentist.
These options include rinsing with warm salt water, taking over-the-counter pain relievers such as Advil or Tylenol, using an over-the-counter product containing benzocaine on the tooth and surrounding gums, a dab of clove oil on the tooth and surrounding gums can also help temporary relief, and sometimes, a cold compress on the face can also help.
